Growing up this way helped him to understand the mystery of making a simple salsa, using just chiles and tomatoes. “She is my great master in chief when it comes to creating a delicious authentic Mexican meal.”
Since his arrival to the U.S., he has been working with chefs that feel the same way; that there is a magic in process of creating dishes. “It is like being a wonderful magician able to convert simple ingredients into delicious foods.” His knowledge comes from a lifetime of experience and many family recipes. We shop locally using mostly organic produce, ingredients and selected meats to achieve our goal to serve you the best of the best. Chez Nous Bistro
150 Main Street – Lee, MA – (413) 243-6397
Chez Nous, “Our Place,” a casual, seasonal bistro in the Berkshires. Chez Nous is where a French chef from Brittany and an American pastry chef, working with a team of like-minded, talented people in both our staff and our suppliers, are able to bring our passion for cooking and eating well to the table. From the integrity of our ingredients, the producers of our wines, our attention to detail in both preparation and service, we look to provide consistency, quality and pleasure.
When two chefs decided to open their own casual French bistro on Main Street in this little mill town, people were a bit surprised. Lee has, however, such a great diversity of people and culinary choices, we were sure it would work out. Years of training in French fine dining made us long to have a place of our own, “chez nous,” to cook our favorite things in an atmosphere where people could really relax and enjoy.
We are driven by great ingredients, fantastic staff & our food-loving guests to develop appealing seasonal menus & specials. As chefs, it makes sense to us to have a menu that changes with the seasons: we can serve ingredients at their peak, and buy local and organic as much as possible.

Michael’s Restaurant has also prided itself on the fact that we have a welcoming and warm atmosphere and a safe and clean bar and lounge, a favorable place for people to meet.
Michael’s Restaurant have always expected a little extra from its staff, only because it expected extra from itself in the fact that Michael’s Restaurant did not want to be just a place to eat, but a place to come back to year after year and week after week. If you give a little extra, you get a little extra.
